BIRDWATCHING MAMBUCABA
The countryside of Mambucaba is the refugie of the famous and endemic Black-hooded Antwren (Formicivora erythronotos) and many other birds so it is considered a hotspot for Birdwatching thakns to the Serra da Bocaina National Park. The access to the region is at the border of Paraty and Angra dos Reis, from there there is a dirt road.
WHEN:
✔ All year round. Spring is the best time of the year to see birds. Rainy and windy day are not recommended.
WHO CAN AND MUST:
✔ Recommended for nature lovers specialy those how are interested in birdwatching
✔ No experience is requerided.
✔ For the under 18, they need to bring an authorization signed by the legal guardian. Please request form.
ROUTE AND DURATION:
✔ The tour takes about 4 hours and goes on roadside and the valley, with small trails.
✔ The arear is the surroundings of the Serra da Bocaina National Park in the border of Paraty and Angra.
TIME:
✔ Every day departing at 6am, with advance reservation.
✔ Birdwachting is good early in the morning 6am or late afternoon 3pm.

CAPACITY OF SERVICE:
✔ Minimum 2 people, smaller groups are better for the development of the tour.

WHAT TO USE:
